Fourth Street Live! is a 350,000 square foot entertainment and retail complex located on 4th Street, between Liberty and Muhammad Ali Boulevard, in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. New life was given to a failed center-city shopping mall by creating an innovative new entertainment and retail district. 4th Street Live is now a destination gathering place for Louisvillians and visitors alike.
Kerr-Greulich provided full MEP design services to the facility and to many individual businesses within the complex. We continue to design and engineer within the complex, as needs and tenants change.
Some engineering highlights Include:
Specialized event and display lighting.
Mechanical and electrical conversion, including a new central chiller plant and air distribution systems.
Separation of public utilities with new service infrastructure.
Modification of control systems within the complex to provide flexibility and isolation of individual lease spaces.
Conversion of the existing duct systems from variable air volume (VAV) to constant air volume in some locations, and constant volume to VAV in other areas.
