Ethos has developed a 97,000 square foot Independent & Assisted Living facility along with free standing single family homes of traditional architecture that promote community through orientation of homes, common grounds, and coordination of activities on a 12 acre Main Street property in Florence.
The three-level structure includes services for Memory Care for mild dementia residents, a full-service kitchen and dining area, commercial laundry and residential style laundry, beauty shop, gathering spaces, offices, and storage space.
Kerr-Greulich provided MEP design and construction administration services.
Highlights of the design include:
The HVAC system which incorporates water source heat pumps (WSHP) for conditioning of all corridors, public spaces, offices, and support areas; utilizing high efficiency condensing boilers and a 150 ton cooling tower.
Outside air delivered to WSHP system by 40 ton dedicated outside air (DOA) unit.
Building automation system used to control the WSHP and DOA.
Central hot water system.
Individual living units piped with PEX for the delivery of hot and cold water.
Fully sprinklered throughout the facility.
Emergency generator for back-up of critical systems.
