Heartland Payment Systems processes all payments - from credit / debit / prepaid cards to online transactions, checks, payroll and more - efficiently and cost-effectively. The company currently processes more than 11 million transactions a day and more than $80 billion in transactions a year.
One of Heartland's most recent additions is the Service Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The facility includes a primary data center and multiple blade server rooms that support the customer service work stations. This particular Call and Service Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Kerr-Greulich provided full MEP design and construction administration services.
Highlights of the Kerr-Greulich design Include:
Central chilled water plant for the campus, under floor air distribution 1A and 1B system allows individual occupants to control their environment.
The entire office area is a raised floor with HVAC distributed below the raised floor, providing individual control of the HVAC at every customer service work station. Under floor fan coils provide climate control at the building's perimeter and in various conference, training, and meeting rooms
Chilled water air handling units reside in penthouses.
Large server room was designed to handle campus network and communications.
Entire campus is backed up by redundant emergency generators. Additionally, all computers and server rooms are on UPS back-up.
The electrical distribution system that supports this critical facility includes two (2) 1500 KW generator sets connected to the 3,000 amp, 277/400 V closed transition paralleling switchgear. The service switchgear is designed to provide for an additional 1500 kw diesel generator set to support the future expansion of the facility.
