Northside Christian Church exists for the purpose of giving glory to God. The way they phrase that in our culture today is to "connect people to God and grow together to full devotion in him". They have built a fantastic facility to support this mission and Kerr-Greulich was honored to support this effort with MEP design services.
Some engineering highlights include:
Number of lamp types was minimized to simplify inventory and maintenance.
The Welcome Center features track lighting with track in the shape of the religious fish symbol and indirect asymmetric wall sconces that provide great ambient lighting.
Compared and analyzed outside air delivery methods to provide high indoor air quality during peak occupancy while maintaining low energy use during low occupancy times.
HVAC system selection analysis resulted in a single zone variable volume system with demand controlled ventilation. Single zone variable volume systems provide optimal ventilation for a large variety of load conditions.
Quiet and nearly invisible air distribution system with displacement ventilation and ductwork above the open ceiling in Worship Center.
Independent cooling for stage to match the variations in load.
