Sullivan University is the largest private university in the state of Kentucky with (3) three campuses in Louisville, Lexington and Fort Knox.

The Sullivan University College of Pharmacy was the first doctoral level program at Sullivan University and is one of two in the State of Kentucky. The program was established in 2006 to address the severe shortage of pharmacists in the state. Kerr-Greulich provided the MEP design for the College of Pharmacy complex, built and opened in 2008.

Highlights of KGEI design include:
  • Variable air volume HVAC system with energy-saving demand control ventilation, staged compressors, and discharge temperature reset.
  • The design included several strategies to reduce noise transfer from HVAC equipment to lecture auditoriums.
  • Compressed air, Medical air and Vacuum systems serve Pharmacy Research, Micro Biology, and Cell Culture labs located on the first floor.
  • The new electrical design included a new emergency power system serving critical loads coordinated with electric service.
  • Life safety considerations were evaluated and fire alarm and fire protection upgrades included.
