Station # 3 is one of three serving Jeffersontown and houses some of the most sophisticated equipment
necessary for the fire fighting demands of today. The Station features: 3 apparatus bays, sleeping
quarters, full service kitchen and dining area, as well as community meeting rooms and a fitness space.
Highlights of the KGEI Design Include:
Fully fire sprinklered.
Plumbing entailed design of individual showers for daily living, as well as water conserving fixtures.
HVAC uses multiple split systems and infrared heaters for apparatus bay. Vehicle exhaust system.
Electrical Systems Included:
- Main service 1200 amperes
- 125 KVA emergency generator
- Fire alarm system
- Knock-out system
