Project Gallery - Multi-Use - Hotels
Hotel 21C
Louisville, Kentucky
Hotel 21C is an award-winning piece of art in itself, housing and showcasing artwork and the creative community inside. This project was a renovation of four existing 19th century buildings into a five story progressive, contemporary hotel, restaurant, and art gallery. Form and functionality come together at 21C; part adaptive historical reuse, part museum, part hotel. Kerr-Greulich was selected to provide the MEP design based on past success with adaptive reuse projects and our ability to create effective designs in unique spaces.
Engineering highlights Include:
Use of unusual lighting for display and presentation.
Color changing, fabric covered, light fixtures.
State of the art energy recovery for exhaust and outside air provides simultaneous heating and cooling for each room.
Unusual plumbing arrangement using motion control systems.
